What to expect

We meet every sunday morning at 10:30am. We are a small friendly group of people (about 50) who enjoy meeting together and learning how we can be better equipped for our journey. You would be more than welcome to join us.

Parking

Our nearest Car parks are 'St Johns Street' 'Vineyard Car Park' and there is some free parking on St John's Green.

Children and Young People

We cater for children and young people on sunday mornings with the provision of a creche (with a live TV link to the main service) and a sunday school class for children under 10.

During the week there is a 'Carers and Toddlers' group (Abbey Tots) that meets every wednesday morning at 9:45am for all children under 5.

Friday Evenings we run AbbeYouth (for schol years 6-10) from 7:30pm to around 9, and KiDZ (for school years 3-5) from 6:00 to 7:00pm. Transport is availiable from Churchill Gate.
Please get in touch for more information.

Sunday Mornings

Our meetings usually start with a time of worship in which we sing a mixture of old and newer songs (words to the songs are projected on a screen). Please feel free to join in or just observe in whatever way makes you feel most comfortable. This usually lasts about 30mins and leads into Bible teaching, which is mostly the responsibility of our Pastor. There is an opportunity to make our response to what God has been saying to us before the service ends.

We do not take up an offering and do not expect guests to contribute, but there is a box at the back of the Church for gifts and offerings. We celebrate Communion on the third sunday of every month.

After the service Tea and Fair Trade Coffee is seved in the back room and provides an opportunity to get to know one another a bit better. Our sunday morning teaching is recorded and made available here, you can also have it delivered directly to you every week via podcasting
