What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is simply a
method of delivering and/or receiving fresh audio
content in MP3 format. Users install a Podcast client program on their
local computer and then subscribe to Podcast 'feeds'
found at web sites offering audio content. The Podcast
client checks the feeds on a regular basis for new
content, and when new content is made available it is
downloaded to the user's computer
automatically.
For example, a user who subscribes
to the Abbeyfield Community Church Podcast will automatically receive
our content delivered to their Podcast client whenever
we post new audio content. (Usually every monday morning.)
